The Bareback Riders is a team comprised of athletes from all over the globe, united by the common goal of success. We are constantly striving to go one step further and spread the word of the BBR.
This weekend represents the first time the Bareback Riders will enter a competition without their founding father Eddie Sanjuan. The Scotland international, and other fellow Scotland internationalists, will be in Aberdeen at a national squad session. The mantle of representing this illustrious side has been taken on by Emma Black and Clare Gregor.
Emma and Clare, both England internationalists, have assembled a side to protect our title in Bath. In their team are Grant Clark and Russel Hill, also winners last year and Mike Abro another London based BBR. The rest of the team are new to the BBR family and will no doubt do the beater proud this weekend.
Robbie Mckenzie, Chief Tosser, has passed on the task of Toin Cossing to Grant Clark. Grant was spotted earlier this week rehearsing his Toss, Turn, Call, Strut on Clapham Common. Mckenzie, the master of this art, spent many an hour training and this is reflected in his inability to win the toss - all the best Grant.
No word has filtered back as to who will be leading the team this weekend but no doubt Gregor and her compeititive side will emerge and they'll bring the trophy home once more.
